Righto... I've just installed the v0.8 version on BP 1.0 and WPMU 2.7.1. Still got the same problem.

Plus a new problem with GMail. I got the following message in the admin interface:

Exception thrown trying to access Zend/Loader.php using 'use_include_path' = true. Make sure you include Zend Framework in your include_path which currently contains: .:/usr/share/pear:/var/www/[snip]/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-invitefriends/lib/Gmail/library

I'm not sure what that message is referring to so any help is appreciated :)

@philipjohn well yeah, however you have to bite the bullet. Really you are running unstable releases which inevitably run into security risks. If this is going to be any kind of production site.

I had the exact same problem.

I have not found the answer, so I tried to create on. I uninstalled MU and re-installed it. Didn't work. I even tried to drop the tables from my database, uninstall BuddyPress and then reinstall it. Now, I get an error:

The requested URL /members/admin/profile was not found on this server.

I checked my SQL database, and I didn't see the prefixed bp_ tables there, which were there when I did the initial install. So, a fresh "reinstall" of BuddyPress didn't work either. For some reason, it isn't generating new tables.

Thoughts?

We started developing the site before the full releases came out to start with, and integrating with bbPress was apparently a bit of a struggle. Upgrading now may put back launch because of testing. We'll go with the full releases when we have the time to fully test.

Do you know what might be causing the issue I'm having and how to fix it?

Why are you using a beta and release candidate install? When both are now full releases.

After I installed the Invite Friends (on WPMU 2.7.1-beta1 & BP 1.0-RC2) the Admin interface starts messing up. Opening sub-menus on the left hand side no longer works and I am unable to add Widgets to my sidebars (except the first side bar).

De-activating Invite Friends fixes the issue.

I also posted this question in the regular Buddypress forum but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask you guys too.

Is there an easy way to load the appropriate subnav menu (optionsbar.php) without reloading the page?

I'd like to make a little ajax submenu ( http://www.justjquery.com/lab/slidedemo.html ) but I'm having trouble figuring out how the dynamically generated links work.

This is what I have so far:

jQuery("#bp-nav a").hover(function(){jQuery("#my-sub-menu-div").load("optionbar.php");

any ideas?
