  1. Hi! I followed the steps in the readme to install the plugin: successfully installed core, then installed groups-extra, renamed the file on the server from .sample to .php then went back and activated the new plugin in admin.

When I create a group I see my new fields, however no matter what I write, the values do -not- get written to the database. I've checked from the front-end (nothing appears) and from phpmyadmin (table is empty).

I'm not sure what I'm missing here. bbpress 1.1.2 on wpmu 2.8.5.2.

I am having the same issue. Has a resolution been identified?

I am also having this same issue... is this plugin broken?

  4. Really? Still no resolution, still no plugin update. Is this group even still kicking? There's been little to no activity and I'm still stuck with the extra-groups issue.

So far, I've managed to get the damn thing to write the fields in the database, but no matter what I do, I can't get them -out- of there. Am I supposed to hard-code the calls directly into the groups page template or what? The function that exists and is supposed to get the fields out of the database doesn't work for me.

I'm left with only the option of manually retrieving them. Lovely.

Also, the "Create" function that plugs into the "Create a group" buddypress routine simply DOES NOT write the extra fields to the database, regardless of what I change in the actual code in the plugin files. You have to manually EDIT the group via the buddypress admin menu (front-end or back-end, makes no difference) for the extra fields to actually get written to the database.

I have NO idea why this is; both functions are exactly the same! A little help would be greatly appreciated here.

    -thanks
