Plugins won't show up

    I'm trying to install the BPDEV Plugins. I'm following these steps:

    Upload the files via FTP/SFTP the files in /my-installation-path/wp-content/plugins/
    Activate BPDEV Core first in your dashboard as Site Wide Plugins (WP Admin->Plugins->Installed)

    But the plugins won't show up (wp-admin/plugins.php) after uploading the files in the plugins directory. What am I doing wrong?

    I use:
    Wordpress MU 2.8.4
    Buddypress 1.1.1

    What am I doing wrong?

    Yes, that's a good question.
    I can install the plugins but they do not show up where they should.
    Example: TinyMCE does not show up at all
    3 weeks no answer?
