January 13th, 2009 at 12:35 am
php xprofile_get_profile()
January 13th, 2009 at 1:07 am
And by the way your youtube is not working in your profile. It doesn’t show up in lightbox, it goes straight to youtube.com

Having trouble installing this one. I’ve installed simple pie and the admin menu but am getting this error:
Call to undefined function: bp_custom_profile_sidebar_boxes() in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/13175/domains/aigadfw.com/html/community/wp-content/mu-plugins/bpdev-youtube.php on line 164

Hello,
in you plugin pakages are many zip files. Which one do i need for the Youtube plugin as example?
Is it possible to offer the BPDEV-SIMPLEPIE also in zip format.
Best,
Karl

No one, they are older version, you’ve only put the directory and the php on mu-plugins
January 22nd, 2009 at 2:25 pm
I’ve updated to the newest version of buddypress. Re installed the plugins and now get a new error message:
Warning: array_slice() [function.array-slice]: The first argument should be an array in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/13175/domains/aigadfw.com/html/community/wp-content/mu-plugins/bpdev-youtube.php on line 323
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/13175/domains/aigadfw.com/html/community/wp-content/mu-plugins/bpdev-youtube.php on line 324
Any ideas here?
Thanks and sorry to be so difficult.

Just so you guys know: I was getting the same error on the plugin for the bp_custom_profile_sidebar_boxes() error. I opened the offending file and removed line 164 and now it works fine.

Hi Nicola,
Great plugin, having a wee bit of a problem tho – I’ve just signed up with a youtube account to test this and I’m not getting any of the videos to display on my profile – is there something i’m missing or need to do to make it work. Just to let you know I had to use chris’s hack (removing line 164 – before it would work) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
With kindest regards, Phil

I’ve got to launch a website soon using this technology and I’d like to be able to include the flickr and youtube plugins but can’t get them to work at all. You can view my site at http://www.aigadfw.com/community. At this point, I’m willing to pay to get these to a stable 1.0 version if that will expedite getting them done for the community and I’d like to get them to work on my site as well. You can email me at the email address I provided and I’ll give you admin info if you need it and ftp to get this fixed. Just give me an estimate and I’ll pay immediately by paypal, etc. to get this done. I’d also be very interested in a facebook connect plugin and would be willing to pay for it as well. Thanks,

I’m with Bo Parker…I would pay as well to get these things to work…
February 4th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
Bo, I am getting the same messages (both for Flickr and YouTube). As far as I can read in the SimplePie documentation, the above errors simply mean there is no content in the feed. So either the credentials you provided for the feed are not correct, or the feed is empty. Either way, these error messages should be caught and plugin should just display nothing.
I know, I know, the feed you provided is correct (so is mine), so there is a bug in the polugin somewhere that does not allow it to connect to some feeds.

You forgot to fix Nicola in version .95. Remember you were gonna fix the part where you click on the link in someones profile, and youtube and flickr work as a lightbox?
They’re the same, they take you to the youtube.com page not working as a light box…
February 12th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Yes it’s true, i’ll add this feature asap
February 12th, 2009 at 7:02 pm
Dear Nicola,
Thanks for your plugin it installed too easy …. When i try to play a video, light box appears but no video shows.
I have BP SVN 1029
I have lightpress installed seperately could this be a problem ?
thanks for your help.
February 12th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Nicola,
I uninstalled my seperate lightbox plugin and it started to work … thank you.. is it possible to add feature to change the lightbox effect ?
February 17th, 2009 at 10:37 pm
Nicola, I’ve tried emailing a couple of times. I’d really like to get youtube and flickr working on my site. I’ve continued upgrading, replacing, etc. and as I said, I’m willing to pay to get this fixed (or anyone else that wants to help, I’m more than willing to pay them as well). you can email me or view my site at http://www.aigadfw.com/community and send me a message there to get in touch if you’d like to help in getting these operational and make a little extra cash. Thanks,
